Thousands of popular products sold across the US have been recalled after federal inspectors found rodent and bird contamination at a Minnesota distribution centre.
The recall, issued by the FDA, affects nearly 2,000 items, including well-known brands like Cheerios, Nutella, Pringles, Coca-Cola, Gatorade, Tylenol and Advil.
Officials say the products may have been exposed to harmful bacteria such as Salmonella through airborne particles from animal waste.
The affected items were sold in Minnesota, Indiana and North Dakota.
Consumers are advised to destroy recalled products immediately and contact the distributor for refunds.

As global gold prices soar amid rising geopolitical tensions, most countries are racing to stockpile the precious metal.
But Ghana is doing the unthinkable, cutting its gold reserves by more than half.
Africa’s top gold producer has slashed its holdings by 51% (18.6 tonnes), choosing to cash in and reinvest in foreign currency assets instead.
According to the Bank of Ghana, gold had begun to dominate its reserves far beyond safe levels, prompting a strategic shift toward diversification.

Niger’s military leader, General Abdourahamane Tiani, has accused France and neighbouring African states of supporting a terrorist attack on a Niger airport, though no evidence has been provided and the accused countries have not responded.
The attack comes amid ongoing instability in the Sahel, where Niger’s junta is fighting jihadist groups linked to ISIS and al-Qaeda.
Tiani praised Russian security forces for their support as Niger distances itself from its former colonial ruler, France.
Rising tensions are also tied to uranium, following a legal dispute that saw French nuclear firm Orano lose control of key mining operations.
Uncertainty continues to surround the incident and Niger’s next move.
