Sunny Games Hey Survivors! So I'm making a video here soon and wanted some feedback. What are some of the things you wish to see the most in State of Decay 3? For me personally 1. Build a base anywhere 2. Relationship system 3. More dynamic communities (Think the walking dead and roaming bandits) Let me know what you guys hope to see the most in the next game! Sunny Games Looks like Undead Labs lost some people today. According to Geoffrey Card on Blue Sky, He Says, and I quote "Studio is still here, project is still intact, but there are now fewer of us, and the people we lost were GOOD. I hope they find satisfying work elsewhere; they deserve it" Thoughts? (6 months ago)

Sunny Games Undead Labs today is teasing a new message on their Official Facebook page, and it could be big I have no clue what the image means, but it looks like we might hear something here pretty soon. Maybe at the Xbox Showcase? What do you guys think this image means? And what are your expectations of any new news? (7 months ago)

Sunny Games For those wondering why the video is late. Undead Labs has held me hostage this weekend to keep from leaking anything ๐Ÿ˜‚ the video is in the works and will be out soon. This was their theater room where we watched the trailer live right along side them! Let me know what to ask them while Iโ€™m still here in Seattle ๐Ÿ‘€ (P.S. no they wonโ€™t tell me the release date lol) (1 year ago)

Just be clear! For those wondering the best bases are still relevant today in 2025. Absolutely nothing has changed from when I made this to today!

In sod3 we need a prison base, school base, hospital base

i would love if developers add more bases, especially now when SoD2 team is smaller. Bases are place where i like to spend half time of my gameplay.

I personally would love to see in State Of Decay 3 them doing away with these pre-built bases, and/or making there MORE to do with them. Because (in my opinion) it would be much cooler to see a system implemented where you could like (maybe at a huge cost of influence or materials) secure buildings 1 by 1 and connect them into your own unique base. Maybe you take 1 house for 500 INF, and then it gets a small space for a single buildable slot and includes like 2 beds for free and then you could either build fences around the perimeter manually, or they'd spawn/generate around any territory you claim/link to expand your base.

Would be so cool if you could capture every single outpost in the game and put 2 or 3 survivors on every outpost big or small so People can capture the entire map like a world fortress and have the entire map full of people killing zombies on a massive scale

I for one would not like full customizable bases (like Fallout 4 Settlements) but I'd really like the ability to spend materials and influence to fortify bases, like strengthen the walls, close the gaps and increase the safe zone around it. Also the ability to spend materials and influence to clean up the map per zones, which would remove wrecked cars from the road and allow us to drive around easier.

I actually really love the Fortified Bridge in Cascade Hills, I know it's not the "best" base on the map but the location is still pretty good and it has got to be the easiest base to defend in the game. Only two entry points which are covered by the walkways ontop of the bridge in which two survivors can be placed with guns. I ran this base with 6 survivors and it's such a unique base compared to all the others in the game. I enjoy it even if it isn't the most powerful.

I'd love to see a fallout 4 style base building, so you can completey customise it how you want

Huge bases: lumber mill for production, container fort for everything else, smaller bases rusty rosies in providence ridge, everything else is just ok. Wish they'd add more bases, so many opportunities for great ones, like that junk yard across from whitney field, it'd make a great base.

Farmland Compound in Trumbull is definitely the best, especially since it's right in the middle

Providence Ridge has a unique property of being a map where EVERY base is viable. The fenced warehouse has been my absolute favorite due to sheer customizability. If you have each of the RT base components, it becomes an extremely strong base.

Crazy thought.. with the update a future update focusing on longer play communities.. Iโ€™d love to see a way to make our community stronger with red talon like training manuals

Quick side note did you know that there is a memorial for Sgt Erik Tan from State of Decay one located at the marshal base in the map Trumbull Valley.

When I play providence ridge I usually b-line the truck stop. The free watch tower is great for clearing the local area, and during the tutorial you claim an ammo outpost. Power and water are easy to get on the map, and the two large spots means you can build almost whatever you want. The biker kitchen makes it a solid option for a trade leader, since you can make moonshine. It's not as good as the distillery on Meagher valley, but it's a nice boost to influence.

I literally transferred my community 3 times in a row before settling in Farmland Compound. The fact that it has 4 large slots and is the most central point on the map made it a no brainer. I also really liked the fact that there are multiple enclosed buildings one of which actually has bars on the window so it actually feels like the most comfortable living situation.

The bridge fort is absolutely amazing. #1 pick for Cascade Hills
