I saw an interview with someone who explained how Eyes Wide Shut was initially far more incriminating but after Kubrick died ( or murdered ), they tamed the movie down considerably. Very hard to get a mainstream movie released without the approval of these controllers.

You know the title "eyes wide shut" itself is quite interesting. "E.W.S" stands for 'Early warning signs', a score chart used by doctors (our main character in this movie is a doctor). There's more too the title if you look into it.

Imagine being Stanley, knowing the people you’ve met & been around when his career took off (& clearly didn’t want to be too involved with, hence living in London & not Hollywood)

I always thought the mask on the pillow was that someone broke in and placed it there. As a message that ppl can break in and harm your family, not just you.
