Wow! So much has changed since recording this song, however so much still remains the same. I didn't think it was worthy to keep public so I shortly after posting it I set it to private, now I've gone public with it again. Thank you for listening and sharing a few kind words, they're especially welcome at this point in my life. Wishing everyone who might read these words a beautiful day.

"When were you in Vietnam" someone asked. "Just last night" is always the answer. As a Vietnam vet, I have to say that this song is heartfelt and true. Thanks, Mark.

My father was in Army Intelligence and was in Vietnam for two tours, 66 and 68. He came back totally wrecked. Years and YEARS of not being able to work, visits to shrinks, beating my mother and me and craziness and PTSD nightmares and horrors. Then in 2000 he died as he ran for a train. Thanks for this song. Too many from that stupid war have died too early, by their own hands a lot of them. And sometimes a little validation like this song really goes a long way to help. Respect brother

Heartbreaking song...what's even more heartbreaking is that nothing has changed since 1969...except now there is no conscription and still people go to die for nothing....and if anything, the situation is worse.

The pain never goes away. It will remain until we are gone and maybe forgotten. Coming home was the hardest. Being abused in every imaginable way by our own that we fought to protect. The REAL hero's never came home alive. A hearty Semper Fi to all Vietnam Vets and a job well done for what was handed to us. We did our duty!!
