I feel like this is canonically the ending to all Metal Slug games.

I've always found this ending poetic, the heroes throw their weapons, a part of them into the sea, accepting the future, whatever it may be.

I like how they throw the guns like they will have an temporary peace, and the look on their face like they are really tired...

How they throw their guns is epic. They are probably thinking “It's over now". So freaking cool.

i feel like metal slug 3 were meant to be the last one, them throwing away their guns is a sybolism

MS3 is seriously one of the greatest arcade games ever made. That final mission, man... Stellar animation and quality gameplay, a satisfying conclusion to the overall story, and a legendary ending scene.

este juego fue una obra de arte, siempre amare este tipo de cosas de este mundo y por este tipo de cosas es que me gustaria seguir viviendo muchos años mas.

I feel like the really ironic part is that, if you put this game in context, it makes sense why they said "The End." SNK was about to be bankrupt so they intended on this game being the last. But just like the war these 4 fought, Playmore safeguarding the series untill SNK's return, and the popularity of metal slug itself, these guys weren't done by a long shot

Probably my favorite metal slug of all the time, The only one that forces you to choose another selected player and this ending scene... is a bliss to the eye, I mean wow, those pixels really comes together even in the end. I love this game.
