I had a really special experience at the temple with my teens recently. We went to do baptisms at the Mesa temple. My son who is a priest baptized his two siblings and me, and then I baptized him. I was able to confirm all of them, and my wife. The thing that I noticed for me at least was that I had these thoughts and feelings about how involved the Lord was in those ordinances and how much he cares about my children and wife, and also how much he cares about those receiving those ordinances on the other side of the veil.

That was a great message. I love seeing the youth of my ward excited about doing baptisms in the temple. It will be a great blessing in their lives.

The Fresno temple opens back up on July 29, 2025. I am so excited to see the updates. We have a lot of youth that have done baptisms. I love to see it when I go to the temple.

I served a senior mission in Panama and was blessed to see how Baptism changes new converts. I notice eyes a lot not just the color but also the light or lack thereof. People walking down the street with eyes that look lost and without light. Immediately after baptism gone was the lost look and their eyes were full of light.

When I joined the Church there were a total of 16 temples worldwide. Joseph prophesied that the day would come when hundreds of temples would dot the land. That prophecy is fulfilled and will continue into the future, for the work of the Lord will not be stopped until ALL have had the opportunity to hear and to choose. What a marvelous day we live in. Ancient prophets saw our day and rejoiced. Let us not take it for granted or miss the great significance as we live in the days they foresaw.

The closest Temple to me is a 16 hour drive away. I look forward to the day to be only 20 minutes away from a Temple.

It was announced in December 2024 in our Temple Devotional that youth will serve as temple workers in the Baptistry, not just patrons. That’s exciting! And as we know, temple workers receive countless blessings.
