Your stirling engine\generator is not just a machine, it is a work of art. Well thought out and practical. Thanks for sharing.

This is amazing, I can't believe you made this so long ago and it still works, it's amazing. I love Stirling engines, hope to make them practical even more so someday. Awesome work sir.

Very cool setup. Love the care and engineering that went into this build.

There are several types of heat engine, not just spark ignition gasoline types (which are the most common/familiar). They are all 'real' :) Thanks for watching!

This is definently the best stirling engine I have seen, I wish I had the tools and skills to make a simular engine!

Just in case in anyone is curious. That song from the radio was by Todd Rundgren "It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference"

Impressive! I like what you have constructed! It is practical for an emergency! I imagine you can even design it to charge a smartphone/cellphone with the appropriate configuration.

This is the first sterling engine I've ever seen that was built both to last and to do real work.

Very nice build! I love your watercooling setup. I am going to build something similar with a PM research steam engine or a small turbine. I love putting these to use in practical applications.

I found the article, from Popular Science April 1961 by Harry Walton, upon which I believe you based your engine. It has all the blueprints and construction details. I like your addition of the water cooling jacket, pump and radiator which allows more power to be converted to mechanical energy driving the alternator. This could be enlarged but, as you point out the engine must be properly sized to what ever load for it to be of any real use.
