Description
Welcome to The Rockin’ Roundtable—broadcasting from the neon heat of Las Vegas, NV. We’ve been rock and metal addicts since we were knee-high to a Marshall stack. After decades of traveling the globe for concerts and somehow surviving with our hearing (mostly) intact, we’re here to share the chaos with you.

Expect the following without any corporate filter:

Punchy rock and metal reactions and reviews.

Breaking news, tour rumors, and festival updates.

Interviews with our musician friends and industry icons.

The lowdown on new music releases and global tours.

We’ve made plenty of friends in the pits and backstage over the years, so don’t be surprised if some legendary guests show up to spill the tea (or the beer). Help us stay caffeinated and loud enough to annoy the HOA here:

The Rockin' Roundtable Wednesday, January 28, 2026 A Decade of Devotion: Ronnie Montrose Remembered 2026 On Saturday night, the Grand Theater in Anaheim became a sanctuary of sound and spirit for the music community. It was more than just a concert; it was a heartfelt family gathering celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Ronnie Montrose Remembered. The love in the room was palpable from the moment the doors opened. This event has become a sacred tradition, a night where the competitive nature of the music industry fades away, replaced entirely by a shared reverence for one of the most influential guitarists to ever grace the stage. The music of Ronnie Montrose has touched so many lives, and on January 24th, that legacy was alive, vibrant, and incredibly moving. A Labor of Love We must express our deepest gratitude to the visionary behind this emotional evening, Keith St John. For ten years, Keith has poured his heart and soul into producing this tribute, ensuring that Ronnie’s music continues to thunder through the venues he once played. His dedication to keeping Ronnie’s memory alive is nothing short of inspiring. He didn't just organize a show; he created a space for healing, celebration, and pure musical joy. Legends Honoring a Legend The stage was graced by some of the most talented musicians in the world, all gathered with a singular purpose: to honor their hero and friend. The performances were breathtaking, played with a passion that could be felt in every note. Billy Sheehan delivered a bass performance that was both technically masterful and deeply soulful. Reb Beach brought a soaring, melodic grace to the stage that perfectly complemented the evening’s spirit. Brad Gillis played with an intensity and emotion that captivated the entire theater. Gilby Clarke offered a heartfelt tribute, channeling the raw energy of rock and roll that Ronnie loved. Doug Aldrich poured his heart into every chord, summoning a tone that was a beautiful homage to the Montrose sound. A bond Beyond Music While the star power was undeniable, the most touching moments came from those who shared a personal history with the man himself. CJ Hutchins, a dear friend to Ronnie, brought a profound sense of intimacy to the performance. Watching CJ play was a reminder of the deep personal connections Ronnie fostered; it was a performance rooted in friendship and cherished memories. Moments of Gratitude We at The Rockin' Roundtable were incredibly humbled and honored to be a part of this historic night. Being welcomed into the green room backstage to conduct interviews was a privilege we will not soon forget. We want to extend a special thank you to Keith St John and the gracious Sherri Lu for their hospitality. Being surrounded by such talent, hearing their stories, and witnessing the genuine camaraderie backstage was a moving experience. The magic extended to the red carpet as well, where the connection between the artists and the fans was beautiful to witness. Seeing these rock icons take the time to embrace fans, take photos, and share stories highlighted the community that Ronnie helped build. It was a night of unity, tears, smiles, and incredible music—a perfect tribute to the Father of American Hard Rock. (13 hours ago)

The Rockin' Roundtable 🎸 Rise and shine, you beautiful disasters! Here is everything destroying the internet in the rock and metal world over the last 24 hours. The rumor mill is working overtime today, mostly because nobody can keep a secret anymore. Ghost has seemingly confirmed their new "Papa" era via a cryptic TikTok that definitely wasn't an accidental upload by an intern. Meanwhile, Lars Ulrich is trending again, and no, it’s not because he practiced his snare fills—it's because he challenged a literal AI to a drum-off and somehow argued he won on "soul." Also, we are still seeing tributes roll in for the Prince of Darkness. Sharon has hinted that the planned memorial concert will "melt faces," which is the only appropriate way to send off the legend. 🦇 Here is the chaos you might have missed: Ghost teased their new frontman "Papa Emeritus V" with a video featuring a kazoo solo that is disturbingly catchy 👻 Metallica announced a "No-Repeats" residency on the Moon (okay, it's just Las Vegas again) for late 2026 🎰 Spiritbox finally dropped the release date for their sophomore album and the server crashes are already starting 📉 Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson is launching a brand of fencing gear because obviously being a pilot and singer wasn't enough side quests 🤺 Korn and Limp Bizkit teased a joint "Nu-Metal Forever" cruise so get your tracksuits and motion sickness pills ready 🚢 Sleep Token released a jazz-fusion single just to mess with the genre purists and honestly it kind of slaps 🎷 Dave Grohl was spotted playing drums for a local high school battle of the bands because he literally cannot stop being the nicest guy in rock 🥁 Question of the day ❓ If you had to replace the lead singer of a legendary band with a Muppet, which band are you ruining (or improving) and which Muppet takes the mic? #RockNews #MetalFamily #Ghost #Metallica #Spiritbox #NuMetal #MusicNews #QuestionOfTheDay 🤘🔥 (16 hours ago)

The Rockin' Roundtable Rise and shine, you glorious agents of chaos! It’s Tuesday, January 27, 2026. If you're not currently experiencing post-mosh pit soreness or a ringing in your ears that only a thousand-watt stack can fix, you're clearly doing Monday wrong. 🤘☕️ While you were busy trying to figure out if that was a dream or if you really did stage dive off your couch, the rock and metal world spent the last 24 hours proving that the only thing more consistent than your caffeine addiction is the relentless flow of industry news. Here is the noise you actually need to care about: Metallica just dropped another cryptic teaser for their M72 World Tour dates, featuring a very blurry image of Gojira onstage. The internet is now officially broken. 🏟️🐋 Geddy Lee posted a video of himself actually playing bass in a studio, sending Rush fans worldwide into a collective meltdown of joy and speculation. 🥁🇨🇦 Halestorm's Lzzy Hale announced a special one-night-only "Ask Me Anything" session on their official fan club, so get your most awkward questions ready. 🤔🤘 M. Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold clarified their "immersive" stage plans, explaining that "immersive" means you might get sweat on by a rock star. Lucky you. 💦🎸 In Flames dropped a new single, "The Great Deceiver," which sounds exactly like what would happen if you let a Swedish metal band write a love song about a chainsaw. ⛓️🇸🇪 Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst posted a photo of himself with a freshly shaven head, reminding us all that some fashion choices are eternal, and some are just... there. 🧢👴 Corey Taylor hinted at some "very heavy" surprises for his upcoming solo tour, which either means new music or he’s bringing a full marching band. Could be either. 🎺😈 Slipknot is reportedly working on some "experimental" material for their next album, which we all know means they're going to use more cowbell. More cowbell! 🐄🥁 👇 QUESTION OF THE DAY 👇 With Ozzy feeling "more evil" and Geddy Lee playing bass, what's the one thing you desperately want to see your favorite rock/metal icon do before they (inevitably) retire? 🎤🔥 Let the wild dreams and impractical requests begin in the comments! 👇 #RockNews #MetalNews #Metallica #Gojira #GeddyLee #OzzyOsbourne #Halestorm #NewMusic #TRR #TuesdayTuneUp (1 day ago (edited))

The Rockin' Roundtable Rise and shine, you glorious agents of chaos! It’s Monday, January 26, 2026. If you aren't currently nursing a mild headache and questioning why you thought that last encore was a good idea, you’re clearly doing Monday wrong. 🤘☕️ While you were busy trying to remember where you parked your sanity, the rock and metal world spent the last 24 hours proving that the only thing more relentless than a Monday morning is the constant barrage of industry news. Here is the noise you actually need to care about: Megadeth finally dropped their self-titled final album, and Dave Mustaine is already claiming he wrote 90% of the riffs on your favorite childhood records too. 🎸🔥 Gojira just confirmed they’re joining Metallica for the 2026 M72 World Tour dates, because apparently, the French titans aren't done conquering stadiums yet. 🏟️🐋 Geddy Lee teased new Rush music with drummer Anika Nilles, essentially sending every prog-rock fan into a state of permanent hyperventilation. 🥁🇨🇦 Shinedown's Barry Kerch called Ludacris a "coward" for dropping out of the "Rock the Country" festival, because apparently, the rock world needs more beef than a BBQ cook-off. 🥩🤠 Bruce Dickinson revealed he's entering the studio this month to record his next solo album, because flying planes and fronting Iron Maiden wasn't quite enough for his schedule. ✈️🎤 Ghost had to cancel three U.S. "Skeletour" dates due to an impending winter storm, proving that even the Papa can't out-evil Mother Nature. ❄️👻 Suicidal Tendencies officially introduced their new drummer Xavier Ware, who is presumably ready to go to the fridge for a Pepsi at a moment's notice. 🥤🛹 Sebastian Bach is out here telling fans he just wants them to "smile and laugh" at his shows, which is surprisingly wholesome for a man who used to scream for a living. 😃🤘 We sadly lost former Scorpions bassist Francis Buchholz at age 71—raise a glass to the man who provided the low end for the soundtrack of your youth. 🦂🥃 👇 QUESTION OF THE DAY 👇 With Gojira joining the Metallica tour and Rush basically rising from the ashes, which "reunion" or "mega-tour" announcement would actually make you sell a vital organ for a front-row ticket? 🎤🔥 Let the speculation and financial ruin begin in the comments! 👇 #RockNews #MetalNews #Megadeth #Gojira #Rush #GeddyLee #Metallica #NewMusic #TRR #MondayMayhem (2 days ago)

When you said “every song is different” makes me feel very proud of her cause literally that’s what she wanted to give us and that’s the reasons of the title album cause it’s MAYHEM but in a cohesive way, loved your reaction, you’re the best guys
dmitriyplekhanov5906 (10 months ago)
She said in a recent interview “I’m a student of music” and I think Mayhem is the true embodiment of what she meant. This album is inspired by music that made her fall in love with the music

You guys rock. Love you stepping away from your typical comfort zone. It’s totally to be expected that you won’t love them all. It’s a gift you’re even checking out the album in the first place.🏼 Even if you find only a few little ear worms, it’s worth it!
