My mustang had on the 19th of June '16 an overheating, after the third day of the purchase date. Unfortunately, on my birthday. I substituted for the water pump and for thermostat. After 60 kilometres again an overheating and the cooler fan did not start. Funny enough also the first time not. Although we waited for the operating temperature after the first time. It functioned.

im having a similar problem and is only when I use the ac the fan quits working when engine is warm up and the car overheats. very frustrated

to everyone having this problem, the fix:

having a similar issue no overheating but my fan isn't spinning at all not sure how to check the fan as idk where the connectors are to hook up some jumper clips to it , see what happens the thermostat is working , just got this car my self, it's a project for sure but i think the car is preety solid otherwise.

I think i'm having the same issue with my v6 mustang. Overheats sometimes....cools off while driving cause wind is hitting the radiator. Everytime i tested my fan it seems to worked fine....i would have never thought to let the fan run for 30 minutes until the fan itself got hot. Anyway, I'll be replacing that fan this weekend. how did you end up fixing it?

I have an 02 mustang GT manual transmission but mine never over heats it just revs the rpms from 2500/3000 while being on neutral or even on gear and after a good minute of driving the cars coolant starts boiling and just throws everything from the cap of the resavor! I already changed the IAC and did the gasket thing everyone does but still same issue any ideas??
