Well, if you read the description, it's based on the horror movie "The Thing." It's from a scene in which a guy's head comes off, turns into this and crawls away. The Thing is an alien lifeforce that constantly mutates, y'see.

All arms and legs can be stretched into any shape you want by clicking on their joints and dragging them. You can make them fatter or skinnier with your mouse's scroll wheel if it has one :)
