My German Shepard was the same way. He always protected me no matter what it was. A stray dog had come in our front yard and I was playing outside with my dog. The gate was closed but the stray kept running up and down the fence. Before I knew it my German Shepard had opened the gate with his nose and was chasing and nipping at the stray. The stray was as big as him too. My German Shepard never showed aggression unless it was to protect me. Before we knew it my dog was chasing the stray down the road and nipping at his behind. You could hear the dog yipping. I guess the stray thought he could be slick and come around the neighbors backyard to get to me but my dog had already cut him off. The stray started running away again from my dog down the road. My mom came back outside and had seen the whole thing. I started calling my dog back home and here he came down the road. Not a scratch on him.

Max is totally brave, I can go for a Belgian Malinois like him.

From what i saw in real life including some situation with my malinois.. belgian malinois are stronger than rotties. Not physically but more agression and overall better fighters.
