As a Johnstown native, come visit if you get a chance! It’s a beautiful place and but has definitely felt the economic effect of people leaving. Great for the outdoors and nature if you enjoy being outside.

Remember, many of these towns sprang up rapidly due to a new booming industry rather than long diverse growth. They grow to cities because of a plant and surrounding businesses that offer sublet services to that plant. That one industry goes, the town goes.
