Footless Jo First video of 2025 is out 😊 💜 (1 year ago)

Footless Jo Three months ago, I couldn’t walk more then 500-1000 feet or so and couldn’t go outside unsupervised because of the stroke that I had and the damage it caused. Last week, I got to take Leo on a little road trip up to Montana and back home (on our own). I can now do short hikes (one mile or so), drive on my own, and so many symptoms have gotten better. ⛰️ I have a long way to go - recovery from these kinds of brain injuries take a lot of time. But I am so ridiculously grateful and happy that I can do basic things like going outside. I hate when people say this, but it’s true - I feel like I have a new perspective on a lot of aspects of life and am spending a lot of time embracing the moment (both the uncomfortable and the joyful). Your support and encouragement and kind messages and help have meant the world to me as I’ve been going through this. THANK YOU! 💜 (1 year ago)

Footless Jo Its been a little over two months since my stroke and I wanted to pop in with a quick update and a lot of gratitude. I feel like I’m starting to actually notice a lot of healing - looking back a month, I can do so much more now than I could then. I can now carry on a (mostly! 😂) coherent conversations, my shot term memory is better, and I can be up and walk a little bit longer. I feel a lot more like myself, and life is mostly a lot of PT, OT, and then rest. When I talked about having a stroke, the amount of support I received in all ways from this community was truly overwhelming. I cannot thank you enough for everything. So many people were so generous to me, in so many ways, and enabled me to have the mental space to actually heal. I’ve had a ton of support from friends and family too which I can never say thank you enough for. This was definitely an unexpected start to 2024! I think there will be a lot of processing to do as time goes on, but right now I am feeling really hopeful and very grateful. 😊 Healing is going to be measured in baby steps for awhile. I’ve kept busy with a *lot* of crocheting, all of the puppy cuddles, and a little bit of drawing as my hands allow. I’m hoping to begin slowly returning to work and more of “real life” as I’m cleared to in the next few weeks and months. 🧶 Thank you all again, so much, for everything. 💜 (1 year ago)

Footless Jo To say that I am overwhelmed by the response and support to my last video is an understatement. I can never thank everyone enough. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. You have all made it possible for me to be able to actually rest and recover and my medical bills are going to be covered. Your generosity towards me is astounding. Your messages and words have brought so many tears to my eyes. I am so grateful. Thank you, thank you so much. 💜 (1 year ago)

I never really think about my feet. I never really thought that I could lose a foot. Now I feel extremely grateful to have my two feet. I really appreciate my feet now and while watching this I looked down and saw my own two feet. I feel blessed.

Every time she said "FOOTage" I felt bad for the fact I was amused
