Coraline Parmentier - World Pianist
Description
Coraline Parmentier is a French pianist. A member of Artists for Peace (APLP Canada) and Soroptimist Switzerland, she has been active in promoting cultural inclusion between East and West through music since 2015.
Her solo album for peace in Middle East and North Africa, "Kitab al Kanuz," featuring a Turkish keyboard, was released in February 2025 on her label, Piano Mondo. Her second album, dedicated to Palestine, "Aswat Bahr al Mayyit," will be released on December 10, 2025 during Human Rights Day.
Her project of eastern music earned her the Public Peace Prize in 2017 (Canada), as well as five other social awards in Switzerland. Since 2019, she has been the titular pianist of the Geneva Mediterranean Ensemble "Diwan," directed by Maestro Francis Biggi.
She toured for two weeks in Canada during Montreal Peace Week 2018 as a young guest of honour. In 2024, she founded her music institution Piano Mondo, in Nyon (Switzerland), dedicated to world music and world cultures.
