the little things we share
i love dreaming about big things,
imagining the unfathomable,
soaring through the sky with massive clouds
and diving down to the unknown.
i want to map constellations with our bare hands,
ask the wind where it begins,
ask the mountains where they end
and fly like wendy as she holds peter pan's hand.
but i also want to discover small things about you,
like how you're left-handed,
the callus on your finger from writing too much,
the tiny mole on the right side of your chin.
how your voice rises when you're excited and annoyed,
how you sing randomly whenever we're walking,
how you try to match your eye liner for 30 mins,
as if your eyes are not beautiful enough.
because as much as i crave the endless galaxies,
i think i’d be just as happy looking at your face,
memorizing the curve of your smile,
finding whole realities—
in the little things we share.
