My 06 CVPI usually only does that right after a fresh oil change. Sounds like oil not getting to the top end fast enough. Check oil pressure and maybe consider a oil pump replacement if it does it all of the time. 205, 000 on mine

Part main/rod bearings with a mix of chaining chain and or and other value train problems. With that many miles, it's no surprise.

My 2007 does this sometimes too

Man I have no idea what that sound is but I’m in the same boat as you, with high mileage. 🏾‍️

What is the oil viscosity? Is it 5w-20? Cause i have the same noise and 5w-20 is my oil but a friend of mine have one with 450k mi and he doesn't have that rattle his oil is 20w-50 but I'm a afraid that it well not be good for my car because i have a low mileage car only 34k mi ️

Yo, I wanted to ask if you ever figured out what this was? My car does the exact same thing, and I’m pretty neurotic about fixing things before they turn into bigger problems. Am I just being anxious, or is this something to worry about? My car barely has over 100,000 miles, and I can afford maintenance, but definitely not a new car! Thanks in advance
