To let this clear, pepe wasn't banned because of the foul (it would have probally been just a free kick, or most dramatic a yellow card) but because of the agressive action. Its not the fact on whether or not it hurt, but the sheer un-sportsmanship Pepe showed to Muller. That's why Muller did everything he could to expose the disrespect he got from Pepe. In my opinion Pepe got what he had coming, and he deserved every last bit of that red card.
