This theme was used on the first episode Big Brother, when Del's trying to sell those iffy briefcases

Sounds like something from a Laurel and Hardy Film.

Get angry, but I like this song in it's own aspects. I loke upbeat jazzy music.

In 1982, after the viewing figures had been quite bad for Series 1, John Sullivan wanted to replace Ronnie Hazlehurst's original jazzy theme tune with a new theme tune which would explain what the adage 'Only Fools and Horses' actually meant for Series 2. It was also agreed that the closing credits would be better served by another song that John Sullivan had composed called 'Hooky Street'. John Sullivan approached Rockney style band 'Chas & Dave' to record the new theme tune for Only Fools and Horses. Chas & Dave were in Australia at the time, as they had recently made a breakthrough with their romantic ballad 'Ain't No Pleasing You', which had stayed in the UK Charts for eleven weeks and had also gone to Number 1 in Australia. John Sullivan was hugely disappointed because he felt Chas & Dave singing the opening theme tune would have been invaluable in helping to promote Only Fools and Horses and also would have helped with drawing more audiences towards watching the programme. John Sullivan recorded the new opening and closing theme tunes to Only Fools and Horses himself.
