Hey there! Welcome to the channel of SoCal OC Railfan! I’m a Railfan based out of Southern California in Orange County. I post a few videos throughout each month. I try to keep a steady schedule, but school is priority. You'll see different types of videos ranging from railfanning vids, to compilations, and a few others. You’ll mostly see lots of my videos based from Southern California locations, but I will railfan around North America and maybe other parts of the world. I create these videos with passion to express my interest in trains and the hobby itself of railfanning for others to view and become engaged with the world of trains. Well, wasn’t the brightest of day Railfanning. But I am grateful I saw some trains. Today I was headed out for Montebello station to film some UP trains. As I arrived, I watched an intermodal race by with 3 NS, couldn’t capture it in time. Shortly after, an EB intermodal with a UP T4 leads, but it wasn’t much. Throughout my 3 hours at Montebello, nothing else came. 3 eastbounds had issues, causing a mess by east yard, which closed the tracks until about 1. Never saw those 3 leave. So by 1PM, I headed to commerce for a little less than 30 minutes to see what was in the engine yard. I got a great joy of seeing two CSX locomotives, ATSF GP60 188, and a few other bnsf stacks which I didn’t bother to film. Even if today wasn’t the best, at least I saw something I was happy with. No Railfanning video this week, might try to do a compilation video, not sure what I’ll do. I’ll see you guys down the line next week, hopefully I’ll get some better results by the tracks Saturday.

I saw some more action at mission mill road today! Video will be out tomorrow. This video will be a bit odd. The clips from last week will be much shorter videos since they were handheld by my dad and he recorded them a little late. Good job though dad 👍. Anyways, this trip I was digging through my old camera equipment and found my very first tripods I used for my phone. One still had a phone holder in good condition so I took it off and placed it on my tripod I used for my camera. It was very sturdy! So now I got still clips with the new revamped tripod (see last pic). I got 6 trains today on a slow, spread out action day. Some pics were not that good because the lighting could’ve not been any worse lol. I tried to make it work, I did my best for some, but they look alright. Anyways, stay tuned I got some fast freight and passenger videos waiting for you 👀
