The fact the skier stumbled upon the snowboarder is nothing short of a miracle.

One of the luckiest dude on the planet. Just the fact someone took the same path and noticed him and saved him in time. Wow. He was 99.99% a goner.

Never has a snowboarder been happier to see a skier. Humans are amazing.

The one who save a life is as if he saved entire humanity.

This dude HAND shoveled like 8 ft of snow in 30 seconds. THat was impressive.

I can't imagine how terrifyingly alone that snowboarder must've felt before that. That skier's voice must've been the most beautiful thing he ever heard.

When he said “take your time” you can hear a man that accepted his fate. He was ready to die. He expected nothing less. Imagine being buried in 6 feet of snow, alone, with the thought of “I should have never come out here today” and then boom, the light hits you and you see a man with a shovel saying, you’re good bud I got you. Beautiful moment in humanity right here.

Respect to the skier, staying calm in this situation and acting absolutely professional 🏼️

Just in case you are wondering Francis Zuber the skier rescued Ian Steger who was stuck in the snow for approx 5-7 minutes before Zuber arrived on scene. They become good friends afterwards. They often now ski and snowboard together.

It's times like this where nothing else matters, all the bullshit of the world dissolves and a life is needed to be saved by your fellow man

The guy on the skis just happened to go between the right two trees to see him buried. He could have went in any slightly different direction between two different trees and totally passed him by without seeing him. Crazy. I’m glad he was there to help the guy.

People who never faced deep fresh snow cannot understand how insanely grueling it is to move and dig in such condition.

The anxiety I felt just watching this was unbelievable. OMG!

Snowboarder went back to the lodge and had the most surreal, best tasting cup of coffee of his life.

Can you IMAGINE the moment/sigh of relief the snowboarder had when he realized he was being rescued..? He was a goner for sure if not for the skier!

You could tell the skiier was exhausted just trying to climb up a few feet to reach the other guy yet didn't stop digging for another 2 minutes after that until he was sure the snowboarder could breathe. What a heroic guy

"Take your time man" that statement is almost hauntjng because the other half is that you saved him an eternity of time.

I went upside down into fresh powder once and it's absolutely terrifying. It feels like you're drowning, you can't get any air, and with a snowboard strapped to both feet, you can't use your legs to kick yourself out, and if you try to push off the ground, you just sink into more powder. I was with someone so I was only stuck for no more than a minute and it scared the shit out of me.

That man deserves a standing ovation
