We’re Rick & Adam - The Floating Nomads. We sold our house, quit the 9-5, and now live a life of constant travel. We spend months abroad at a time, taking the slow route - flight-free whenever we can - by train, ferry and overland journeys… and we also share life on our tiny UK narrowboat when we’re back in the UK.

We’re reading through the comments on last night’s Istanbul film and are honestly blown away. (Especially the one from the viewer in Atlanta waiting out the storm—stay safe! ❤️).
If you haven't had a chance to watch it yet, we hope you do.
This wasn't the video we expected to be making... we thought we'd hate Istanbul it worked its magic and charmed us. This video was shot on our first day there and you can see us becoming enchanted with it before your eyes.

I found this to be so interesting. My great grandfather was a canal boat captain on the Erie Canal in the states. He married my great grandmother and they had two children, while living on the "Ella Mae". When they got to #3, they bought a house where his wife and kids lived and he captained the boat, until retirement.
