Haitian-American jazz vocalist / music therapist Claudia Zanes and Grammy Award winning rocker turned all-ages entertainer Dan Zanes have been making music together since the day they met in 2016. During their time together, the two have toured extensively; written and performed Night Train 57: A Sensory Friendly Comic Folk Opera for the Kennedy Center; created House Party: A Family Roots Music Treasury songbook for Quarto Publishing Group; and released two records for Smithsonian Folkways, Let Love Be Your Guide in 2021, and the soulful follow-up, Pieces of Home in the fall of 2024.
This is porch party music. Vocals! Guitar! Flute! Percussion! Trombone! Harmonica! Jaw Harp!
Dan and Claudia bring their joyful sounds with them wherever they go. Like the song leaders before them, Dan and Claudia believe that when we sing and dance and laugh together, communities are galvanized and hearts are opened to the best of life’s possibilities.
