Loved those GUYS!

These guys were wonderfully funny, classy, first rate! The BEST Twin Cities radio ever!!!

As a former radio announcer myself I can tell you these guys were the BEST!

And he could talk.

Sadly WCCO is just a shell of the days when they were known as "real radio"

Oh,how I loved to listen to them!! They were the BEST!

Roger Erickson was a comic genius. I used to listen to his morning show (with Maynard Speace) after he and Charlie went separate ways. Roger came up with the most hilarious stuff. My favorite RE joke: What's a Polaroid? That's what you get from sitting on the ice. His Scandinavian accent was a thing of beauty. His stories about the priest, rabbi, and Lutheran preacher were epic.

Fine men. Kept to themse)ves.

I twas not fair that one radio station could have that much talent, both at one time, and one after the other! Cedric Adams (a tad before my time), Charlie Boone, Roger Erickson, Steve Cannon, Howard Viken, Dick Chapman, Tim Russell, Ruth Koscielak, Patty Peterson (and what a singing voice she has!), "Mike Lunch" (Mike Lynch's nickname, coined by Cannon), Denny Long, Dark Star, Al Malmberg, and I am so sorry for forgetting SO many other names in that cadre of talent. LOVED WCCO-AM 830 back in the heyday! Heck, I miss the days of radio that you could listen to without your ears melting off, and with good writing, to boot. Please do feel free to add any other names I may have missed!

I used to have that book, The Worst of Boone and Erickson. I don't know what happened to it and I wish I still had it.

Enjoy your retirement Mr. Boone! Thank you for being there all of my life! We'll miss you.
