I love the dynamic between Shadow and Maria. Here's this hedgehog you'd assume to be edgy and bad, but it's the opposite because his soul was modeled after Maria's. They're so close as best friends that they were practically siblings. It kinda sucks that Shadow's current interpretations disregard this entirely. I hope the 3rd Sonic movie gets this right, but I'm kinda nervous.

It's even more heart wrenching in the Sa2 story because Shadow had been locked inside of an escape pod and had to helplessly watch as Maria bled out by herself. His best and closest friend wishing him all the best, unable to even embrace them one final time before being launched into space.

Maria was really brave sacrificing her life to save Shadow. I can see why Gerald modified Shadows soul after Maria's.

What makes Shadow's story even more tragic is that his entire purpose was to cure Maria's illness so that she wouldn't die and he was supposed to protect all of humanity and yet he was unable to protect this one fragile life of the person he cared for most

The voices within the Shadow's Game Credits song... It's just beautiful... Im scared to see Sonic Movie 3 bc they will use SA 2 and Shadow the Hedgehog stories, I will probably cry on this movie...
