This scene always stuck with me as a kid. Just seeing Pongo and Perdita go feral was a shock seeing how proper they were before.

Something that I love about this is film is that Perdita is just as featured as Pongo in scenes like this, and even charges first into battle at one point.

I'm amazed at how well Sargeant Tibbs was able to do with keeping Horace and Jasper away from the puppies until Pongo and Perdita arrived.

Can we talk about how badass of parents Pongo and Perdita are?

"Hey! What do we got here? A couple of spotted hyenas??"

That's a perfect marriage there if I ever seen one: tackling the guy trying to bash your wife's head in with a chair while she's in the middle of tearing the guy's friend a new one despite neither of you ever having ever been in an actual fight up until then.

These two deserve more love in the Disney fandom. Seriously, the lengths they go to to save their children is wonderful, they are the ideal parents

In my opinion, Sergeant Tibbs is the single most heroic character in all of Disney. Scared to death, facing things dozens of times bigger and stronger than he is (and armed!) alone, he's nevertheless willing to die to protect a ton of people he's barely met. What a beatstick.

I love these few moments in Disney movies when the cute animated animal heroes go "feral" and are just suddenly LOOK so frightening. That's when you know to give them their space.

Sergeant Tibs was very underrated because he actually puts himself in front of the pups and try’s putting his paws around him them

Almost everyone here talking about the parental heroics of Pongo and Perdita, yet here I am thinking how heroic Sergeant Tibbs is. He's no family to the puppies. What's more, they're species that are more often than not enemies. He's terrified out of his mind, yet he doesn't budge one bit. He's right there, with a face that speaks pure terror, yet he's extending his paws to protect these puppies, ready to receive the killing blow. If that's not heroic, then I don't know what the heck is.

1:47 Two angry parents who are about to humiliate you big time for hurting their kids. Who cares if they're dogs? A parent is a parent and nothing is scarier than an avenging mother.

1:39 Aww, Sergeant Tibbs was ready to put his life on the line and protect the puppies to the bitter end. He gets in front of them and even terrified, sees that the bandits will have to kill him before they can touch the puppies. I love that. Go kitty!
