I will never understand why people go swimming in waters where they know sharks will definitely be it’s like going for a walk through the African bush where you know there are lions etc… I don’t get it..

Don’t swim on deep drop offs! Don’t swim near seals or sea lions! Odds are higher than you think!

i don't see how anyone in Australia is brave enough to get in that ocean. no thanks.

How does one even swim in water like that ?

For those saying he didnt see it coming, he did. The interview with one of the firshermen after the incident said they heard him shout out before it took him out the water. Then game over. So hectic, imagine he didnt feel much for long. Sad for him yet even venturing out my depth in UK waters makes me nervous, let alone off a rock shelf where people are fishing in Australia!?

No mistake identity, that shark was extremely hungry.

This isn't a body of water you would swim in even if there weren't sharks in it! It's extremely rough and treacherous.

You tell me sharks don’t target people!!! Yeah right!!! That white targeted him, knew he wasn’t a seal and ate him anyway…

This shit foreal. Tf you doing swimming by yourself in Australian water anyways
NeilD1 (2 years ago)
This clearly was not a case of mistaken identity. That shark bit and killed him and then proceeded to go back and devour the remnants of the poor man.

Those look like really rough, dangerous seas to be swimming in the first place.
Sasquatchflow (2 years ago)
Once you enter those waters you become part of the food chain and those swimmers know that and that’s the chance they take…

I've always been fascinated at how violent attacks/events take place on the surface of the ocean and there is thrashing and screaming then the water is dark red with blood.......then the ocean goes back to being peaceful and quiet in an instant with no trace or evidence of such an event having ever occurred

Foreigners should take notice when locals don’t swim in certain areas.
