Crashsune Academy Just saw this response and thought it’d be worth talking about it with you guys ✨ WHY do I use Blender for low poly? (and why don’t I make Blockbench tutorials?) First things first - Blender is just a tool. I choose Blender for low poly intentionally, mainly because of two things that matter a lot to me: 1. Animation I’m an animator. No matter how simple or low-detail a character is, I never want to feel limited in what I can do with it. 2. Rendering Blender is genuinely one of the best tools in the industry for rendering. Even if you create a character in Blockbench, chances are you may still want to bring it into Blender to render it properly. That said, I’m absolutely not trying to discourage anyone from using Blockbench! I’ve met plenty of incredibly talented artists who rely on it professionally. And if you’re into modding, it’s BY FAR the best tool for Minecraft and Hytale content. It's just not as flexible or powerful as Blender. And it doesn’t need to be!! It's just another tool. Tools don't matter that much, it’s your core skills that do and they'll translate into any software once you have the fundamentals down. Which you can grasp with Blockbench! If you’re brand new to 3D and Blender feels intimidating, Blockbench is a great way to get your bearings. It helps you understand axes and how to think in 3D without overwhelming you. However, I will mention that Blender is an industry standard for games, animation and more - so it’s definitely a good skill to add to your arsenal. Once you’ve grasped the basics in Blender, add-ons can massively speed things up and let you focus on the fun parts of 3D instead of repetitive work. And, since a lot of you are interested in making your own games - I’ll mention that from Blender, you can export characters straight into Unity or Unreal without fighting file formats, textures, or weird conversions. It’s built to take your characters outside of Blender if you want to. So, if any of you here use Blockbench, I’m genuinely curious 👀 Do you use it alongside Blender? Have you not touched Blender yet? Or did you start with Blockbench and later move over? And if Blender does feel intimidating, keep in mind that the vast majority of students in my low poly course started with almost zero 3D experience. The whole point of the course is to make Blender feel approachable and fun. Since it’s currently on discount for the rest of this week, now’s a good time to check it out if that’s been holding you back. Here’s the link: https://crashsune.gumroad.com/l/LowPo... Curious to hear your thoughts! 💖 (8 hours ago)

Crashsune Academy I reviewed more than a HUNDRED of YOUR low poly characters 😮 and turned into one massive video! This took a loooong time to edit but we now have a TWO HOUR compilation of me reviewing nearly all of your submissions for the low poly Christmas challenge. (I'll still be reviewing those submissions who weren't covered in this video, stay tuned!) The video is *huge!* But you not only get to hear my opinion and feedback for each of the characters but also hear insights from the artists behind the characters! Super recommend watching it to everyone interested in low poly modeling (basically like 95% of you here lmao). Watch it here: https://youtu.be/booW-p-806c?si=wQSdA... Hope you guys enjoy the edit! 💖 (thanks to notfish for editing this video together!) (1 day ago)

Crashsune Academy *You* might just be in my newest short! :) Take a look at this compilation of some of the characters made by some insanely talented students! 💖 https://youtu.be/BrrMP46m3Eg?si=tvMVN... The low poly style I teach is heavily inspired by Mega Man Legends, and the soundtrack from that game just felt perfect for showcasing some of your characters. :3 The low poly character course is on a flash sale for just the next 4 days, so if you’ve been thinking about joining, now’s a really good time to grab it at a discount: https://crashsune.gumroad.com/l/LowPo... ✨ And if you do, please share your work with us! A lot of the people you see in this video made their first OCs with little to no Blender experience prior to the course. I genuinely believe every one of you can make something like this too! 💖 Maybe you'll get featured in the next student compilation, too! 👀 (2 days ago)

Crashsune Academy One of my new year’s resolutions was to POST MORE OF YOUR WORK! That's why I review your models on YouTube here. These are just a few examples of what students have made this last year. And I couldn’t be more proud!!! Many of you guys have reallyyyyy come a long way with everything you’ve learned in the course and all the extra materials that come with it. With the low poly parts kit and the full workflow I teach, you can jump from following tutorials to creating your own original characters. Without running into the frustration that come with modeling everything from scratch! The course is currently on a flash sale as part of the 2026 update, so if you’ve been thinking about joining, now’s a great time. Check it out here: https://crashsune.gumroad.com/l/LowPo... And when you do, don’t forget to post what you make in the course Discord!! Seeing your work is genuinely one of the most rewarding parts of what I do! 💖 (3 days ago)

Thank you very much. The best teacher for Blender I've ever seen. I don't speak English very well and your explanation was so beautiful that I understood it

This channel deserves way more subscribers for both the quality and depth of this tutorial. One of my friends wants to start character modeling while knowing nothing about blender and while the donut is usually a go-to, making a character is a lot more fun. Very well done.
