Hi I'm Lydia, and with my husband James, we created The Simpsons Theory channel. What started out as a small lockdown project grew into a lovely community of cartoon-fans. So, we decided extend this love to other shows and movies. So think of us, and our channel, as your little passport to transport through the realms of TV and Film to seek out the complete timelines of iconic characters - with a particular fascination with cartoons and animation.
We love collaborating with other creators so you might just see your favourites pop up :-)

I like what they're doing with Meg now. She's not really a punching bag anymore. Just a loose cannon who's doing something wild in the background. Fits her perfectly, she's been bullied her whole life and now she just doesn't care and does whatever chaotic thing she thinks up.

I'll never understand why this show is so desperate to call Meg ugly. she looks like a chubby brown haired Lois with glasses, by the shows own standards she's definitely not ugly

Something that I find kind of funny is how they constantly make fun of Meg's looks, when she's literally a perfect combo of both her parents, and Chris and Stewie exist lol.

I love the writers straight admit “we don’t understand women at ALL so we just do what we normally do when we don’t get something, just absolutely humiliate and ridicule it ”

Strange thing about Meg is, that she basically looks like her mother, who's more or less considered the hottest Woman in Quahog, just a bit shorter and with brown hair.

I knew a girl named Megan who actually introduced herself to me under a different name, and had introduced herself to someone else under a different name, because she hated the idea of being a Meg so much, strictly due to Meg from Family Guy, it was like being named Karen to her.

Everybody hating Meg is kinda like when Homer would strangle Bart on The Simpsons. The joke was that it was needlessly cruel and abrupt. The problem is that Meg's whole character seemed to revolve around her being ugly and unlovable with no other comedic angle.

I'll always love Meg. Though mistreated, she's shown she doesn't need her family to define her and has carried on a life of her own. Heck, id be happy to help her one-up her parents; just to show she can be happy without them!

So let me get this straight all mail writers made a female teenager to literally get abused and mistreated for multiple seasons straight. That’s real fun thanks that makes me as a female teenager feel just great.

The hurricane episode was really cool and sad at the same time. It was incredible to see the whole family crumbling, the second Meg stood up for herself.

a part of not finding the abuse funny is the fact I see myself in her, seeing the self hatred and strange mannerisms and being thought as ugly, even though I haven't got any proof anyone else sees me as ugly, every time I see her face any negative treatment it scares me that I could be treated that same way by people that I love and trust.

Apparently Mila Kunis has had issues with people saying "Shut up Meg" even when she's not recording. You really just want to give both girls a damn hug!

My name is Megan and in middle school, people hated me simply because my name was similar to Meg. I was bullied because of a cartoon character. It was the stupidest thing ever. Kids are cruel about the weirdest things
