Auld Lang Syne I've been mulling over doing a post about the last Awdry Extravaganza (for a while) but two friends have beaten me to the chase already. If I can't set a trend I might as well follow one! I only played a very small role in these events - and I do mean small! I showed up, I did (most of) what was asked of me and then I went off home (just like Thomas). But, to have played even a small role in keeping these events on track and to have worked with such great friends over the years, is a source of immeasurable pride to me. My friends created something very special with these events - they not only helped maintain and even renew interest in the Railway Series but they put on a series of events where like-minded people could feel safe, meet, talk and make friends! I made friends at these events and I was staff! Sodor 2025 lore drops, more new engine faces, Duke(!!!), #MoltenMike, the return of Carr, Neil's 'jig' and even a LIVE ACTION recreation of a Railway Series story - I think it's fair to say that this year in particular will take some beating. It couldn't have taken place anywhere else and I am certain that it couldn't have been made possible by anyone else. I am very lucky to have been a part of it all. I'm even luckier to have such a fantastic group of friends. Lots of love, Stuart xoxoxo P.S. I'm still hoping to make more Auld Lang Syne but I still need a few things through the post before I can properly get to work! (6 months ago)

Auld Lang Syne Before we get into the update itself I just want to say thank you all so much for getting the channel to 3000 subscribers! As promised some time ago, a Q&A video will follow soon but there's an episode I want to get sorted first! It's been a wee while since I updated YouTube so what follows is a slight edit of what I've already posted on ko-fi here: https://ko-fi.com/auldlangsyne So, as you will have seen previously, we have a new character in this upcoming episode! In fact, this episode has required the designing and printing of a whopping great SEVENTEEN new faces! Huge thanks to Luke for designing and printing and Dan for printing these too. The models have been updated too! Peter's model has been spruced up somewhat. He now has the correct lipped chimney and rivetted tender. Maude has had a plethora of rivets added to his front bufferbeam. Jimmy has had very minor cosmetic work done to him. Sadly I cannot source the correct stovepipe chimney to replace his bodged one. Holmes has a new model as seen in the last post though since then he has received proper brass lubricating pots. One scene was filmed before the 'Awdry Extravaganza 2023' (at which I helped out/hindered) and a further five have been filmed as of tonight (09/09/2023). Not all of these scenes were filmed by me but we'll delve into that in a future update... There are a few new set pieces and the ballast has been totally replaced with a darker shade which looks much better on camera. There's still a lot to do before 'The Learning I Desire' makes it to your screens but it's full steam ahead for this latest episode! lots of love, Stuart xxx (2 years ago)

Legend says that Maude’s “save our snow plow” signs can still be found floating about hay market, calmly whispering through the wind.

So engines can put their faces onto their tenders. Cool.

The original characters coming back are a thing we need. Also "I've killed before, I'll kill again."
Sebdamememan (4 years ago (edited))
4:50 "ive killed before, ill kill again" funniest line in all this vid,lol

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting this. Jon snow plow as an engine, that's screaming profile image and the call back to previous episodes were a nice touch. Very well done Stuart.

I like the British Railway Series reference from the inspector quoting Stephen the b12 when he's talking to Fowlers Ghost

Why is it that in most movie endings, no matter how sad, I tend not to cry but some how the song at the end nearly broke me?
Marcus-yn7wc (4 years ago (edited))
In light of Jon being Johnny that means some 40s and 50s scraped engines are now some grans utensils

I really didn't expect a train remix of Doctor In Distress. it's differently a unexpected welcome.
