Love watching the waves crash on the rocks.

That opening creepy music always scared the hell out of me when I watched this on tv as a kid. Kinda still does.

That theme music just goes right up your spine, doesn't it?

My Mom got me loving this show when I was just 5 and now I'm 18. She would watch it EVERYDAY and I'd be like ''ooh, scary" especially the theme song and it became my favorite show. So every time we go swimming in the ocean and I see a huge wave, my sister and I would sing the song. and make the sounds of crashing waves. LOL We'd also compare how big the waves we see to the one in the series' theme.

Best TV opening and theme ever! My sisters and I used to haul ass home from the bus stop to watch the eerily enchanting Dark Shadows!

I used to run into the living room from my crib to watch this show.

My mom used to get outdone w\ my brother and me, because we'd run home after school, and had to watch Dark Shadows !! LOL !!! God rest her soul, the things she did for us, even though she, herself couldn't stand that show !! I sure miss her more than ever now !!Thanks for posting this !!!

True horror! Horror used to be subtle and make your spine tingle. Now they just bludgeon you with gore and screaming.

Used to hear this every morning getting ready for school in the 90’s. My mom would watch the Dark Shadows reruns while she waited for us to be ready. Only Soap Opera she ever liked.
