The guy who made the Howard Stern joke is a prank caller, Captain Jenks. He's made prank calls to CNN, Fox News, NBC and other news stations during events like this one.

I was in OK City at the Pilot truck stop. My wife and I had just gotten out of the truck when we looked up and saw this huge trail of smoke. Not knowing what it was we rushed into the truck stop into the TV lounge and found the drivers watching the news, only then did it hit and let me tell you. There were many hard azz truckers with tears running down their face, including me.
