The combined blood alcohol content standing on that stage must be absolutely staggering...

It's a sad day but considering he was given only 6 weeks to live in 1989 he's done bloody well to make it this far.
josephbrolly7232 (4 years ago)
Could this be any more Irish. Your man smoking and drinking on stage. All the boys looking super casual pumping out perfect sound. Just magic

Remember when a person's talents were more significant than the condition of their teeth.

RIP Eamon Campbell, Barney McKenna, Philip Chevron, Ronnie Drew, Shane McGowan and Darryl Hunt

Hands firmly in pockets, smoking and drinking on stage, clearly unclear on who's supposed to sing when... and absolutely nailing every moment. Legends.
Shan'e performances were never boring.. Here is a prime examples with the Dubliners... RIP Shane you will be sorely missed.

I love how both vocalists do this entire performance with their hands in their pockets, lol

The energy coming from this performance could have kept dublin lit for a month. One of the greatest live performances ever.

Any time you're feeling down, put this on your loud speakers, FULL BLAST, and let even your neighbours enjoy it!
bobbiescrisps9208 (2 years ago)

Amazing that Shane never forgets the words the state he's in. He must be singing these songs directly from the brain stem!
sandyblue4235 (3 years ago)
How could you not have fun singing this song.

Ireland is a beautiful country, with lovely people and wonderful culture.

Has there ever been such a mass of talent all together at once?

What stands out for me is the respect each musician has for each other, the way they watch to support and to hand over to each other, and the joy in them to be working as one.

With the current sea shanty trend I sort of hope that more people come across this glorious moment in time.
