It is like melting a human and then saying "this is the ugliest species". No, because you deformed it. Same with the blob fish, it is deformed when on the surface

The blob fish only turns into a blob when it's pulled thousands of feet above it's natural habitat where the water pressure is extremely strong and when it's brought up it causes tissue damage making the fish into well... a blob

Their name should be changed to the vibe fish, they don’t look like blobs when they are actually well, alive and hasn’t had 60 atmospheres of pressure pulled from it

You should probably go into WHY it looks jelly like when it reaches the surface. Educate people on the reason so they can stop killing these endangered fish. For those that don’t know, the fish becomes “jelly like” because of the rapid decompression raising to the surface from 4,000+ feet below. The rapid decompression causes every organ inside the fish to explode turning it into a blob.

Call me crazy, but I actually think the blobfish is kinda cute. It's sad to hear that they are endangered. We must protect them at all costs.

Blobfish decompresses when it reaches the surface so basically exploding. Imagine if aliens named humans by what we looked like when we are exposed to the vacuum of space

I like how we call the blob fish the ugliest fish in the sea yet it bares a great resemblance to a human.
