Paul Siebel is a friend of mine. He lives in Maryland and works on his beautiful sailboat, Vixen. He now handcrafts violins in the traditionn of Guarneri and the classical Italian luthiers as a hobby.

I saw him a The Troubadour in 1971. His singing and his songs sent me to another place (killing me softly with his songs, you might say). He was so good that I went back for 3 more nights. And he was only the opening act.

Paul Siebel, A treasure, well worth preserving...I'm still singing Pinto Pony

I'll never forget seeing him play in Toronto. My musician boyfriend had taken to the show. I knew and loved this song because my little sister is also a sad story Louise.

A friend just mentioned Paul Siebel recently. I didn't know about him. Didn't realize he had written "Louise". Listening to his songs takes me back ... the Main Point, Second Fret, Troubadour, and all the rest. Lovely, simple and pure ...

First heard this sung by an amateur singer at a country music club in London about 1969 and eventually found the album at the same venue. Paul remains my favourite singer and composer to this day. So under rated, he never received the recognition he deserved. No cover version ever came close to this original.

Amazing. Wish he had a ton more music out. Love his voice. Hope you're happy, Paul Siebel. You are brilliant.

I got to play with Paul once and didn't even know it

Heard Paul S. sing this song at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village around 1968-1969. Bought the album the day after. A great album and Louise still a great song.

"Ah, but the wind". No one does it like Paul.

One of our favorite album musicians way back in the cloudy days of yore. "Pinto Pony" was one of those songs that helped us get through. "Louise" was another.
