Ever checked your egg carton before putting it in your shopping cart — just to make sure they were all intact?
https://youtu.be/ilpmpCEDK8A
It’s surprising how delicate chicken eggs seem, because each one can support 50 to 100 pounds!
If you think that’s crazy, you won’t want to miss our latest episode, freshly hatched.

Deep Look
Reptiles, amphibians, birds, insects, sea creatures and even some mammals all lay eggs. But why not humans? How were we able to evolve from having to still do this? We'll address this on Tuesday's episode of Big Ideas.

This tiny fly may look like it’s wearing rainbow sunglasses, but those shimmering orbs are its compound eyes. 🪰
Fruit flies have thousands of ommatidia — or tiny lenses — packed into each eye.
Those iridescent colored lenses help the fly spot prey (and maybe even attract a date).
Tiny hunter. Major glam. ✨

Seriously. How in the world did you record under the skin to capture that incredible footage of the mosquito’s needle probing around and sucking the blood. That footage is absolutely amazing.

In elementary school in Louisiana we pretty much all learned how mosquitoes reproduce. It led to everyone I knew emptying out standing water and some created a "military force" to kill mosquitoes.
