The medical team was absolutely flawless. They were wicked fast and those few seconds paid off and they were able to save Damar Hamlin!

I love how THE BENGALS HEAD COACH agreed to cancel the game. And he went to the hospital. That’s some class and some heart right there. Good job Zac Taylor

"Did we win?" damn, that's how much he was dedicated to sport, he literally survived death, and he still very deeply cared if his team won or not

"I almost lost my life out there. Seeing many people meet me and cheer for me when I was discharged from the hospital almost felt like a 'welcome back' to life." - Damar Hamlin

Imagine your boss said “5 minutes then back to work” after you just watched your coworker literally DIE in front of your eyes, then taken away in an ambulance.

The medical crew on that field deserves endless praise, they had not a second to waste and barely any room if any at all for error and ended up saving this guys life. Now he's out there as a full participant in practice only months after this and has made what looks like a full recovery.

Lifelong Bills fan here. Thank you, Cincinatti. Thank you so much for the grace you have always shown us and the respect you gave to Damar and our team that night. Thank you.

His neurological function being fully intact is amazing and due to flawless cpr. The medical team was perfect. What a beautiful recovery

I love how the Bengals cared so much for the Bills during this heartbreaking moment. No matter what the scenario is, it’s not everyday that you see that on or at a football game.

As someone who knows NOTHING about American football (I'm Irish) i didnt expect to fully bawl at the outpouring of love that man received, it shows how we, irrespective of colour religion and background can come together to do something positive TOGETHER and that social media CAN be a positive thing, but we have to actively CHOOSE to use it the RIGHT way and be the BEST versions of ourselves, every chance we get! This was a beautiful display of humanity, compassion and empathy! ️

Damar's collapse was caused by a medical phenomenon called commotio cordis. When Tee Higgins hit Damar's chest with his shoulder, it hit a specific ventricle in Damar's heart at a specific heartbeat and caused the cardiac arrest. It's rare and more common with baseball players. The team that worked on him on the field absolutely saved his life.

"You won, you won the game of life" - this hits my heart so hard.

I was there with my dad. It happened right in front of our section, and he was one of the first people to notice. What was supposed to be the best night of our lives as Bengals fans, turned into the most somber. Very happy Damar is alright. I will say though this night started a chain of negative moments happening in my life, and I truly don't think I'll ever recover or be the same.
