Just an ordinary guy in the San Francisco Bay Area who enjoys sharing amateur videos of live music and occasionally other interesting things. I don't monetize my videos. I'm not on YouTube to make any money. I just love giving fellow music fans a fresh take on an artist they know, or introducing them to someone new. I always try to promote the artists by including details about their upcoming tour dates and/or how to buy their music and merchandise.
If you ever see an ad on one of my videos, that's YouTube's doing. If there is an automated third-party copyright claim, then at least the revenue from those ads goes to the artists. If not, then YouTube pockets the money. I don't have a way to turn those ads off on my videos (I wish I did).
